Welcome! You can use happycow.net for finding vegan and veg-friendly restaurants but I'd recommend cook yourself if of course possible. If eating outside most of the time you have to check even if they fry chips with the nuggets or animal products and stuff. Sometimes they could tell you there is no butter in rice because they used "a very little amount" etc. They don't do it on purpose but they don't think it would make a difference. Always best to double check :)

Hi Katy Rosalie - The Blue House is still there - I definitely still recommend it. Great restaurant! For diving, I'd like to recommend my friend Sami Solla, who's an excellent dive instructor. For 3 pools, you're looking at around 50 LE. Taxis don't have meters here in Dahab, you agree on a set price beforehand. And I also recommend King Safari Dahab (www.kingsafaridahab.com) for transfers and snorkeling trips - we (it's run by my husband) offer transfers and round trips to all the main snorkeling sites and a host of other trips. Getting from Sharm airport to Dahab at night is no problem, however convoys are used day & night dese days. You're welcome to park your bags at our office when you arrive.

Hi Katy, as for dive centre (and affordable hotel) i could recommend you Dahab Divers Lodge. Its in the lighthouse, one of the best divecentres in town. If you dont have a hotel yet, i know ddl is flexible with arriving hours for their guests. (Www.dahabdiverslodge.com)

The food at Great Dong Fang is good. Not the best in the world, but pretty real Chinese restaurant food compared to anywhere. Top floor of Cevahir Mall.

Unfortunately most of the places in Gldani with outdoor seating are the least vegan-friendly and the most vegan-friendly places mostly don't have outdoor seating. Kebabi House is a good option - good food, decent service, right by the metro, and they have live music sometimes,and if they don't have a samarkhvo menu they at least have vegan options.

Coffee House is another decent option - they have Georgian food and pizza and they have indoor garden seating on the fourth floor (it's like a sun room) - but I'd personally recommend Kebabi House over Coffee House.
