Hi Edie. We are very sorry to hear about your baby. FIP is a terrible disease in cats, and its diagnosis and treatment are problematic, to say the least. Treatment options are unfortunately limited as well, making FIP a very hard thing for owners and veterinarians to deal with. There may be some benefit to certain immunosuppressive therapies, but strong evidence of effectiveness of these therapies is lacking. Please see our website at http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/ for more information, and if you would like to speak directly with someone about FIP in your cat, consider trying our Camuti Consultation Service. Best regards to you and your kitty, and please keep in touch.
Anyone know of a good bunny vet near Ithica NY? I have a foster pair being adopted in Brooktondale and I'm looking for someone I can trust with their care.
