Hotels in Iwakuni, Japan

You can ask the navy lodge for a list of hotels. Have you tried calling navy gateway inn? It's across from the lodge. http://quintessahotels.com/sasebo/en/

Dinita Smith we called both the lodge and the Gateway Inn before traveling there and were told no rooms were available, but to check-in with them when we arrived. We did check in and we were able to get a beautiful room with Navy Gateway Inn and Suites. Worth the effort.

We stayed at Hotel San Crane in Kyoto. Parking was an extra $10 or so. Clean room, great staff and walking distance to a great wine bar and restaurant, Wine Cafe.

I book all my hotels through booking.com I usually will try a few times during the week and see when prices drop. Depending on where you want to stay I recommend a hotel in Kyoto... it's Keihan, located right near the train station. Great hotel! Lots of shopping around.

We stayed at a ryokan called Yamada Bessou.

Try Iwakuni Kanko Hotel by Kintai. It maybe hard since it's in the height of Golden week.

What about A-Z Hotel off Route 2? Green Rich Hotel, Beer Garden Hotel-all in Iwakuni

Green Rich hotel downtown is nice.

We stayed at Shogunn Inn on Kadena and then the Kadena lodge they have in Okuma Beach.

If you go a little further to Osaka, we booked at Hotel Alten.

Hilton Tokyo Bay and SHeraton Grande TOkyo Bay are great! Love the Hilton!!! Both are easy walk or bus ride to monorail, offer fireworks views, and have wonderful, Western rooms and beds

Hi Alicia! We booked through Airbnb! Although your trip won’t be til February, we found that Airbnb had great deals within our budget and very close to Universal Studios (which we are planning to go to!).
