The Lubavitcher Rebbe in a letter said skill is paramount. (for obvious reasons). someone wanted to recommend a sandek for my son who had great yichus and yirat shamayim, but his hands were shaky..so a rav advised us not to...if so for a Sandek, how much more so for a mohel
