Posting for a friend: Looking for day tours of a winery (or wineries) leaving from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. Anyone know anyone who's done one or can recommend anything?

If you head over to the Hula Valley (which i highly recommend doing), there is a wonderful family run cafe called Beit Haugot - here are more details. Highly recommended. Happy to recommend other places if you specify which areas and what type of food you like as I often go to the Galil and Golan when my family visit. https://singleintheholycity.wordpress.com/2017/03/12/idyllic-country-cafe-in-the-hula-valley/

Israel is a wine powerhouse, easily in the top-10 countries. A very partial list of some I enjoy: Tulip in Qiryat Tivon (I worked there) Dalton in Dalton (I know people who worked there) Yatir at Tel Arad (There too) Psagot in Psagot (An amazingly beautiful visitor center) Tishbi in Zichron Ya'aqov (they have a great affiliated restaurant, the beer bread is my favorite appetizer and the wine is supermarket prices cheap)
