They are strictly pro life and most of their practitioners are Catholic. They do a lo t of pro-bono work and they know everyone in the tri state Maryland, DC, Virginia area. They'd be able to give you a list of good adoption attorneys who will be understanding depending on what the situation is.

I would recommend you find a AAAA (American Academy of Adoption Attorneys) attorney in your area. As long as things go smoothly, most any family law attorney can help but if you hit any snags, you're really going to want an expert!

You can print one off the internet. Legalzoom.com I think. If not, just Google one. Take it to a notary and have it notarized, and it's all legal. Or, you can actually write one out yourself. It's legal, as long as it's notarized.

If it's for medical attention you can get them at any medical facility like Methodist Medical Center.

Attorney Wilkerson handled both legal and medical POAs for my parents and was helpful, but we had a complicated situation. If you just need a routine POA, I'd print one, get it notarized, and file at the courthouse just to be safe. And as others have said, you can get medical ones at the hospital or probably at your doctor's office. Make sure your nearest hospital, all family members and your doctors have certified copies of any medical powers of attorney.
