Repost for Charline-I am in need of having tie rods and lower control arms replaced on a 2001 Nissan Altima. There were posts on good, reasonable mechanics on this page...

Top Tech (Larry) on Park in Joplin. Reasonable & honest. 626-8080 He's done work on all our old cars. Hasn't cost us an arm & leg & they run great.

Wish I could help Phaedra, I would be there in a heart beat. Try calling a friend of mine that might live in Joplin still, his Name is Kenny Kuhn, you can call him at 483-7297. He knows a couple mechanics in the area, or he can do it for you. Tell him I said hi.
Anyone know of a good mechanic that does side work and is familiar with Lexus? Fletcher is up in the night if they think I'm going to pay their prices!
