I apologize in advance if this has already been posted. I searched and could not find it. Anyone know what sort of brunch specials restaurants around town are having??...

Grandma's Feather bed has breakfast for $11 I think. My mom & I go often on the weekends. She'll go during the week too https://www.facebook.com/BWGrandmaSFeatherBedJuneau/
I don't know if right place to post, but looking for a restaurant to have dinner for the 14th. What options do we have?
Louise M. replied:
Not a restaurant, but if you want a Valentine-evening, come do a couple's painting pARTy on Saturday, 13 th at Louise Miller Fine Art Studiohttp://louisemillerfineart.com/products/heart-hands-party-2-13-6-8 pm
Christina R. replied:
I think just about all of them will have a Valentine's dinner. It depends how much you want to spend. V's Cellar Door is a great fun place to eat and priced reasonable, Salt is expensive but good food. Biko's in the valley is great food.

Does anyone have an idea where I can get an appraisal on original paintings by Rie Munoz? One is of the City Cafe, the other looks like people on the inside of a ferry...
Michelle S. replied:
I would start at the Rie Munoz Gallry over on Jordan Ave http://www.riemunoz.com/GalleryWeb/
Does anyone have a favorite restaurant they would recommend in Anchorage? Am heading there for the weekend!
Kim C. replied:
www.orsoalaska.com/ Awesome food, one side very nice restaurant other side or maybe it is just next to it they make their own beer.
Cindy A. replied:
Kincaid Grill - a must! - airport area - Chef Al:)
Betty W. replied:
I like the Anchorage Brew House - not sure how to spell it. I also like Olive Garden, Pepper Mill, TGI Fridays and Applebee's but I don't have real gormet taste buds. There are a couple steak houses that are good and the Sourdough Company is pretty good too. Wish I could be there this weekend to see you!
Tessa C. replied:
The Brew House. The BEST calamari!
Susan P. replied:
Fire Island Baking Company. O.M.G.
Sherry P. replied:
Sea Galley, Simon & Seifert"s, Cattle Company
Tom R. replied:

Tom R. replied:
Great Harvest Breads if nice for bread
Candy W. replied:
Simon and Sieferts! Breakfast - Snow City Cafe.
Ricky D. replied:
Abby I really like Simon and Seaforts. downtown !!!!!
Karen W. replied:
Cafe Europa was my favorite spot to go for a latte and a mini loaf of their sourdough bread. New Suygia was my favorite spot to grocery shop, but my favorite restaurants were always chains like Benihana's and hot dog on a stick. The Brew House is good as is the Sourdough Mining Company. Club Paris is supposed to be fantastic!
Pam H. replied:
Agreed on Campobellos - I love it for a nice long lunch. I have never been there for dinner. Crush is great for drinks and shareables, but not a whole dinner. Great atmosphere. Spenard Roadouse is casual and organic - casual for lunch. For dinner - my favorite is Sax Cafe downtown.

Villa Nova. Think it's on C and Arctic. Unassuming strip mall location, but the Italian food is to die for. Family owned for years. Don't order off the menu pick one of the dozen or so hand crafted daily specials. Leave room for at least one desert. Let me know what you had so I can enjoy vicariously.
Christy P. replied:
Southside Bistro is pretty amazing! The best steaks I've had were at Club Paris.
If you know any other Juneau restaurants interested in switching over to paper straws, I'd be happy to help connect them with a supplier. Go Eaglebots!
Erika K. replied:
Leticia McRae check it out!
Lisa D. replied:
Great job kids, teachers, and businesses! Just remember that the straws won't compost in the landfill. If you don't have access to a compost pile https://www.facebook.com/1306122696074767 Juneau Composts can hook you up!
Has anyone been to the new restaurant that was Paradise Cafe? The Abby's kitchen duo divorced and I guess he has Abbys and she has the restaurant
Tessany A. replied:
Please visit and like their Facebook page. It's a great way to learn about specials, and special events that they host! https://www.facebook.com/Zereldas/
Any suggestions on the best restaurant in town for dinner? We are extremely indecisive, and haven't been to any yet! Thanks!
Fran R. replied:
Don't know how late they're open, but little Hong Kong in the Mendenhall mall is awesome Chinese food
Kris K. replied:
Canton House is our favorite.
Allyson O. replied:
Asiana Garden for sushi! Canton House is a nice atmosphere and you can go get Froyo for dessert next door. Island Pub for pizza. But I'm really a breakfast/brunch girl. Sandpiper is my go to (not open for dinner). Gonzo is also fun.
