Appliance Repair Recommendations? Apologies in advance if this isn't appropriate for this sub.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a reliable appliance repair company...

This is more than likely a worn belt - you can find repair instructions and service parts online. Most washers are designed to have this be an easily servicable part. I just fixed mine (same issue) for 7$ and 10 minutes of work.

Assuming you don't fix it yourself (which is a great suggestion), go to [Ted's Appliance](https://www.tedsappliance.com/) out on Cork Street. They're locally owned, and they kick ass. The place looks like a dump, but they've got some old dudes in the back that are basically ninjas when it comes to diagnosis/repair. Reasonable prices too.

I'm very fond of [Major Appliance](http://www.majorapplianceoutlet.com/) out on Stadium Drive by the Van Buren county line. Good repair crew, refurbed appliances in stock and inexpensive parts. I had an issue with the "ratcheting" portion of a clothes dryer. Rather than sell me a whole new agitator, they simply sold me the replacement parts for the worn gear pieces inside with instructions on how to replace them. Instead of a $130+ part, I only had to pay a few dollars and did the job myself.

A memory quilt. Hey. Maybe you should Google search that and you might find someone who does just that for a living! ;). Handmade is <3
