Proposal ideas/location advice needed! So key west has been close to my girlfriend and i’s heart since it was our first vacation together and where we said I love you...

Do it while parasailing. May not be the sunset backdrop, but they do take your picture while you’re in the air and it would be totally serene and peaceful, just a moment shared between the two of you. Just don’t take the real ring up lol, get a second box with like, a .25 cent machine ring and leave the real ring on the boat so it doesn’t fly off. And make sure to clue in the parasailing mate so he watches for the pics. Or, if you have the money to spend, go to dry Tortugas and do it there.

There are some nice little corners around the Hemingway Home if you go later (perhaps around dinner when people are elsewhere). Or the Spanish Fort that has a flower garden all around it. My wife and I spent an hour or two there and barely encountered anybody. And it was a serene location.

Also looking for ideas here.... How did the proposal go?
Pandainachefcoat replied:
Haha everything down here is expensive.
Pandainachefcoat replied:
Fort Zach is a great beach, and has a nice standing area to see the sunset, but if you want something more secluded for the two of you not sure if that’s the route, though it is definitely not as busy as Mallory Square. But.. the rocks out in the water of Fort Zach would make amazing proposal pictures, you proposing to her on the rocks and a photographer capturing it from the beach.
Pandainachefcoat replied:
The rocks at Fort Zach are out In the water, not connected to the beach itself. There is a spot the slightly juts out but not much. Not sure of any pier over there.

On a helicopter! The 30 minute Sunset Celebration tour seems to fit. http://www.fly-keywest.com/

Going out there in 2 weeks to propose as well! She’s been out there multiple times with family but it’s tough looking on google maps for a place secluded to pop the question lol

I proposed last June at Bahia Honda State Park. Beforehand I bought a tripod on Amazon that has a wireless bluetooth remote that syncs to any smart phone. We strolled up the beach a ways away from the foot traffic, and when we found the perfect secluded spot I set everything up and surprised her with a ring. It went perfectly and it was all captured on film. Just an idea for ya. :) I wish you the best of luck!
