Grano arso is a must. Hand made pasta, bread baked daily. And I know they do brunch mothers day. It's a great place to dine.

Roughly where in central CT? Love the Bluebird in Easton, might not be too far depending on where they live. EDIT: also, Harborview Market in Bridgeport, Driftwood Sandwich Shop in Southport, Luke's in Stars Hollow.
