OK Squawkers I'm looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant. Any suggestions?
David P. replied:
My suggestion for Authentic is Loco Coco in Kittery. Jeff, my advice is good. A couple of the suggestions above are great for tex/mex style. But this place, the owners and cooks actually come from Mexico as well.

Mi Mexico Lindo in Methuen, yum!

if you want to come to Boston, Casa Romero is AMAZING!http://www.casaromero.com/

Las Olas....Exeter!
Cheryl P. replied:
Las Olas isn't really Mexican although it is good. Mexican Lindo in Exeter is very good. And really it depends on whether you know what authentic Mexican food really is. Loco Coco's is tasty too. Agave in Newburyport and Portsmouth is yummy too.
Jay J. replied:
Ahh. Yeah and anything but Acapulco's. Never had a decent meal there I have tried to give them a few tries but each time it's just been bland and subpar. You could try The Fat Cactus up in Lynnfield rt.1 north there good.
Bethany G. replied:
Grande Mexico in Plaistow. It's a hole in the wall but very good.
Sally C. replied:
Cafe Azteca in Lawrence, El Tapatio in Rowley and Casa Blanca in Haverhill, Mexico Lindo in Methuen
Brigitte P. replied:
Casa Blanca in North Andover is good. Cafe Azteca in Lawrence is excellent too- much more authentic than the typical Mexican restaurant.
Tanya B. replied:
Tacos Lupita in Haverhill - it's been awhile but I assume it's still there.
Steven M. replied:
Las Olas in Exeter.
