We stayed at Zion Canyon Campground right outside the park. You can take a shuttle from there to the park headquarters, but we just rode our bikes (it’s *very* close, and parking is an issue). The road up the canyon is mostly car-free, so we rode from our campsite all the way to the end of the canyon - spectacular! We booked only a few days ahead. Since we had a bad experience at Country Tails (at the Clappison's Vet) we've been taking our dog to a farm in Ancaster. There's a pond to swim in and horses to play with! The owner used to work for the SPCA and has been nothing short of awesome with us & our dog. PM me if you want details, she advertises on kijiji sometimes, but I don't want to wade through to find her ad.

I use Shadowbrook Kennels. They're good, and they're not as crazy-expensive as some of the places are. It's not *too* local (on the other side of Binbrook), but it's still technically in Hamilton.

My little one goes to Jean Steckle YWCA and we love it but that's in Huron village so quite a hike from you. I recommend any YMCA centre as well (worked for them for a few years)...not sure if there is one nearby for you. Congratulations on the job!!!!!!!

Both of my daughters attended the one attached to JW Gerth in Kitchener. They developed quickly on a social level, follow structure and rules along with conflict/resolution situations. The ladies there are WONDERFUL and my girls had a fantastic experience which also prepped them for JK. I highly recommend them!!
