Cardio Kickboxing at http://www.driftwoodkarate.com/cardio-kickboxing.php After taking karate 2-5 times a week for 7 months, I decided to try one of their cardio kickboxing classes and was amazed. It far surpassed my experiences using machines, weights, and taking classes at a gym. Driftwood's instructors excel at motivating you to push yourself further than you ever have before or can imagine. I also highly recommend their karate classes. https://www.facebook.com/driftwood.martial.arts

My husband and I are planning a trip in our 1995 Roadtrek from NH to Glacier National Park in June. Would love to hear from those who have visited GNP in the past with...
Going to the Sun Road was still closed at the end of June when we visited in 2014. You could only drive a few miles in from West Glacier, then had to turn around. Park shuttles would take you a little deeper into the park for hiking, sightseeing, etc but we had a dog. There is a fantastic boondocking site about an hour away from West Glacier on Ashley Lake. https://freecampsites.net/#!3632&query=sitedetails

We enjoyed a hike with the field institute. http://www.glacierinstitute.org. We wish that we would have considered staying the night in some of the back country chalets. http://www.hikinginglacier.com/glacier-backcountry-chalets.htm. There are few (or no) glaciers visible on the main roads; you need to hike in the backcountry to see them. And you need to see them now because they are melting away. http://www.glacierhikers.com/glaciers.html
One More question, Sorry to bother everyone. All provincial parks within 6 hours of me (Kitchener Waterloo) are booked for the August long weekend. Do you have any...

What about Warsaw Caves. You can go swimming hiking and look in the caves. Not to big either.

If your kids like to swim, avoid Beavermead, dirty water! Try Lakefield Campground, nice lots, beach. Or better yet, try Pine Grove Point in Harcourt. My personal favourite:)

John Johnstone make sure you have your friends name/phone number/email/address etc. it will be needed to put a reservation in their name, you can't put 2 sites in your name

All of the pinery is booked? That is one big park. Port Burwell PP is another huge park . Check everyday for cancellations. Good Luck

Sandhills Campground near Port Burwell. It's located between Long Point and Port Burwell along Lakeshore Road (Cty 42), here's the link...it's a privately run family owned business. I have taken my kids there several times and it's been great. Quiet, place...they put the potential party goers in "field camping", they have radio free zones and generally everyone is really respectful there. http://www.sandhillpark.com/

We have the same problem, gonna check out a campground on madawaska river paddlerco-op.com

You could also try Beavermeade Park in Peterborough. WARNING: I have NOT been there but it isn't far from where I live and IT IS within city limits. There is a nice lake. Live Music at Del Crary park as a part of Music Fest in Peterborough and this is free on the Saturday night...I believe there is Fireworks too. They do have serviced sites....I just have NO idea about the noise level. There is the Life Lock Cruise you can go on and on Long Weekends there is generally something happening for the kids somewhere within city limits. Check out Primitive Designs, in Port Hope and see the Transformers made of scrap metal. There's minigolf and other activities at Milltown (family run business), lots of very pretty trails too.
We took the plunge! Bought a 2010 Roadtrek 210. Pick it up Monday and drive from Florida to Pennsylvania. Need some suggestions where to camp. We love to hike. Also, I...

We just returned from an 1800 mile RV trip with my son in his 40 ft. motor home. Our navigation was done using google maps on the smart phone. It navigated our route and when we got to the end of the driving day, we just asked google to tell us where the campgrounds were in the area. It listed all of them and all we had to do was call to find out if there were any sites available. It also listed all the Wal Marts in the area. Google is our best friend when we are traveling. All you have to do is ask it a question about anything, and it has the answer. Google will definitely be our travelling companion all our future Roadtreking adventures.

We stayed at Gamble Rogers SP in Flagler Beach, FL when picking up our RT in SC and driving back to FL. As everyone mentioned, FL has some beautiful State Parks.

I agree with Dave. Download the manual. We have the 2010 RT 210 Popular. Little Talbot Island near Jacksonville is worth visiting. Agree with Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah parks for view and camping. The RT is great on those hilly, curving roads. Enjoy.
Carolyn M. replied:
Congrats! You will love your RT. We have stayed at Little Talbot State Park and want to stay at Gamble Rogers State Park. Here is a link to the FL State Parks: https://www.floridastateparks.org/

Suzanne E. replied:
do you not have a propane furnace? I have a 2008 170 P and used my propane furnace the last couple of chilly weekends boondocking at dog shows.
Bill D. replied:
I have a furnace but I sadly admit I don't know if it is propane or not.My stove works which is propane. I haven't had much time to really study the van out on all of it's features.Mine is also the 2008 170 Popular:-)
Cheryl M. replied:
After a weekend with a morning chill I learned how to turn on my furnace when I got home in my 2001 190V. Bought it this past summer, and never even thought about the heater - I live in Florida! I also put back down the 2 carpets the previous owner had for the "hallway." I had a runner on the floor, but found the extra layer of carpeting keeps the floor warmer.

I think you can camp at McCormick Place, good location but not sure about electric hookups. Something to look into... you'll definitely want to check out Millennium Park as well as the Field Museum. If you are at all into baseball and the Cubs are in town seeing a game at Wrigley Field is also a fun thing to do.

Good luck with trying to navigate the traffic in Chicagoland area. Parking garages won't work because the clearances are only 7-8 feet. Street parking is next to impossible. Haven't heard of any campgrounds that are close to any of the attractions. And also there aren't many truck stops (Flying J, Pilot, Love's) in the area.
Hide a way lake in Yorkville. It's a little out but then take the train in. Cheapest way to get into the city. Parking downtown will be over $50 a day. You can use the water taxi from the train stations. Make sure you see The Bean. Still my favorite place in the city.
