Looking for some great SUMMER CAMP suggestions for a 13 year old boy?
Does not have to be in Tennessee.
Does need to be at least a week long.
Would be great if it...

A friend of mine loves Alpine Camp for boys! She has sent her boys many times. It is an overnight camp.

Alpine Camp for boys in Mentone, AL is great. My girls go to their sister camp, Camp DeSoto. Maggie and Jonathan could see each other at glee club and dances! Mine go first term in June.

Both girls went to camp Widjiwagan. It's a Christian camp outside of Nashville with all outdoor activities. It has excellent facilities and staff. http://www.campwidji.org/overnight-camp.html

This is nothing like the other suggestions, but Bella had fun. She went to a day camp at Maggie Country Club.there was a week in June and a week in July. It gave her something to do during the day and get to be with other kids. They played in creek, swam, did crafts, played lots of new games and activities. They all seemed to love it!
Can anyone recommend a good book or website to learn more about the Santo Tomas Internment Camp?
Cito M. replied:
Lou Gopal, who runs the "Manila Nostalgia" website and Facebook group, produced a documentary about the Santo Tomas Internment Camp entitled "Victims of Circumstance". The website is http://www.lougopal.com/ More information also here: http://www.cnac.org/emilscott/santotomas01.htm

"Santo Tomas Internment Camp" by Frederic H. Stevens New York: Stratford House, 1946 * with sketches, illustrations, list of civilian internees, and list of internees who died
"Santo Tomas" by Fredric Stevens is considered the "Bible" on Santo Tomas. Stevens is to Santo Tomas what Col. John Olson is to Camp O'Donnell. Most disagreements are ended by a quote from Stevens' book. There is a two volume book by Hatendorp which is encyclopedic and too expensive for my taste. If you just want to cozy up to a good Santo Tomas book, with a sense of humor, the best is "So Far From Home" by Johansen. Johansen's book will not cost you a king's ransom. http://bacepow.net/ is the best website on Santo Tomas. Although I manage the website for them, all the information comes from the former internees. It includes information on Los Banos and Bagiuo. Also, I can not pitch "Running with the Tiger" enough by Ansie Lee Sperry.

FWIW, questions like these are why I'm going to do my darnedest to take photospheres of all of Mysteria pre-setup this year and will attempt to make a streetview like map of the place. (relevant article: http://google-latlong.blogspot.co.uk/.../create-your-own... )
