I just went through this with my son richie....he can't keep his mouth open..he gags. Very upsetting for both of us....then we found Illinois Masonic dental. ..it's downtown but worth it and they take medicaid. If extensive work is needed were they need sedation they work with the hospital right across the street.

Cole sees Dr. Kuttab at Lurie's. Cole has to be sedated to get X-rays so whenever the dentist sees at least two cavities, Cole is put under anesthesia and they do X-rays then, as well as a thorough cleaning, fluoride treatments, and any cavity fillings. Cole is 15 and has been put under twice for dental work. We take him every six months for general cleanings.

Dr. Lina Garcia in Barrington. She's the best! But you'll have to pay up front, they bill insurance and insurance pays you direct. She's Holistic, she's Dr. Mercola's dentist. She's very good with kids who have Special Needs, she is taking new patients. She does not use flouride. She uses digital X-ray equipment to minimize radiation exposure. She'll give dietary advice based on what she sees going on with the teeth. Krista has cavities that are healing with Nutrition.
