Konda D. replied:
Playtime pediatrics. Been going to them since my oldest was a baby she's gonna be 24 and Now my grand daughter goes there.
Beckie R. replied:
Dr. Singh with Playtime Pediatrics. I was not a fan of Mustafa. His wait time is ridiculous. Some times I waited up to an hour and half.
Jessica L. replied:
I agree with what everyone else has said. Playtime pediatrics is amazing. We have seen Salazar, Signh (spell?) and mustafa there. They are amazing!!!
Jessica E. replied:
Definitely Dr. Moustafa. My husband tested positive for the flu and I was sick so I got prescribed tamaflu too...we emailed Dr Moustafa to see if we could get something for her so she doesn’t get what we got and he called in a prescription of tamaflu for her as well! Excellent doctor!
Sarah S. replied:
Dr Katakam at playtime pediatrics is amazing called me on a Sunday night to give me information on herbal remedies.
Mommy advice needed: 1) which pediatrician in the IU LaPorte office do you recommend; and 2) how in the world do I choose a breast pump; and 3) which formula is the best?
Daisy H. replied:
My children see Dr. Mustafa or Dr. Samad.
Toni L. replied:
Dr Kuo, more of a natural remedie dr! Not so quick to dump meds in the child! On top of everything. I used him with baby Ryan and he was so explanatory and right on schedule as well. I can't say enough about him. Destinee uses Simalac with Leah and that is believed to be closest to breast milk i guess. Leah loves it and is super healthy n chunky:) it is costly though.
Alisa C. replied:
FYI: Dr Kuo is no longer there. Not sure why.
Grace C. replied:
Alisha Reitz will be able to help with any BF questions. She's part of le leche league.
Alisha R. replied:
Medela Pump in Style is best as far as I've heard!
Paula P. replied:
I was going to buy a medela pump but the hospital lactation consultant said not to since the lansinoh pump is just as powerful & half the price. I like how quick & easy the pump is & that I can plug it in or use batteries. As for formula, it depends on baby. Xander has a corn & rice intolerance so we had to go organic & use Earths Best.
Danielle L. replied:
We have Dr. Samad, but I only really go to Jennifer Campbell. I find Dr. Samad kind of rude, but Kuo left who was Teddy's ped. Medela is the only pump I've used and I liked it. Hand pump ok, but I would caution against a hand pump if you are pumping at work multiple times...hard to get 16 oz each time and takes forever!
Raney C. replied:
Dr. Kolluri is nice and I've heard good things about Dr. Moustafa. Medela pump is good. Formula will really depend on the baby...we ended up using Enfamil because that was the gentlest on his stomach.
Jen M. replied:
Breast is best...pump can't help ya there...pediatrician....I use Dr. Samad and Jen Campbell. Formula..we used Walmart or target brand. But that was before I knew that it was important to avoid corn syrup or soy(for my family)....I don't know if those formulas have corn but it would be good to check the ingredients of any brand.:)
Tasha G. replied:
Dr. Mustafa is also our dr. and we love him. I used the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump, as did my sister-in-law and we both really like it.
Brandon L. replied:
Thank you, everyone for all of the input! It was VERY helpful! So apparently Dr. Moustafa wins hand down. Although I want to laugh like a hyena every time I say it (Lion King: Moustafa hehehehehehehe)! So I do plan on breast feeding, but as I'll b...See More
Stephanie T. replied:
Dr Moustafa ROCKS!!!
Lindsay W. replied:
I always hear great things about the Medela breast pump.I always liked Enfamil formula used it for both kids.If you can breastfeed thats awesome and cheaper but its hard and sometimes impossible so most all formulas are great these days, depends on the baby.Dr Mustafa is great but his office is really busy and it's hard to see him alot of the time.I love NP Kim so that helps that I can see her.
Grace C. replied:
Medela pump and Dr. Moustafa is awesome!! Only downfall is his wait time.
Alisa C. replied:
Dr. Moustafa all the way! Can't say enough good about him. Seriously, he is the best. Formula: we used Enfamil with the older two, then the drs office told us that one of Walmarts brand had the identical ingredients. Switched and saved $16 per can!

Playtime peds. My youngest had Guillen Barrè and can not have the flu shot or gardasil as it could cause the Guillen Barrè to come back. Talked with Dr. Katakam and he understands our stance and is completely agreeable with it.
