Ponoka central vet on hwy 2 a! I've brought my pup there for almost 2 years and even after being spayed and shots she's always excited when she sees the building! They treat her amazing and are actually reasonably priced... Mind you this is the first time I've had to pay for vet bills on my own! They are great there!! If you need a kennel. Old Macdonalds is great too!!

If you just want him neutered I'd suggest Bashaw. Best prices I found for that procedure... And the staff are great there. Otherwise Central AB vet in Ponoka was where I took my guy for everything else. As for the animal hospital as suggested above - they deal primarily with emergencies on the weekends (and they aren't that cheap as everything is after hours costs).

Bashaw vet is the cheapest around. Especially for spaying/neutering. If you don't want to drive that far then both vet clinics in Ponoka are really good too. I haven't tried the new vet in Lacombe yet.

What for? Small or large animal? We have an awesome vet for horses and chiropractor in Dr Ken a wonderful man at stonewallh. Dr Henry in bashaw is by far the most reasonable but no technology, really a great person. Lacombe is most convenient but expensive in comparison. Dr Lawson is great too.

Deer Park Vet clinic! Dr. Higgins is the best I have been dealing with him for 30 years. He has taken dogs home to sleep beside his bed so he could watch them at night. A very compassionate person with animals.

Dr. Katie at Ponoka Vet hands down. Awesome people. Fair prices. Our boy just went in for a skin irritation; exam, 2 prescriptions and a kennel cough vaccination was just over 100$. I have never got a bill from them that I wouldn't be happy paying twice as much as they charge. We drive in from Red Deer, I can't say enough great things about them.
