This is probably a long shot here in Boulder county..... but does anyone know of any "curvy" yoga classes, or body positive, or better known as "fat yogini" yoga?.........

I'm a curvy out of shape aging gal. Haven't properly exercised for years. I recently started Camp Gladiator. I cried when I signed up, knowing it would be hard, but so worth it. It IS hard. But there are lots of people like us. All it takes is showing up. We meet here in Lafayette. If you would like to hear more about it, message me.

Hi Angela...I wanted to let you know that beginning Friday, April 1, I will be teaching Full Figure Flow at Soul Tree Studio's Simpson location every Friday from 4:00-5:15 PM. Your post inspired me and I am so happy to be able to offer this to our community! Let me know if you have any questions!

I take classes at Yoga Junction in downtown Louisville. They really are accepting and encouraging to all body types and ages. Very welcoming
Jen B. replied:
95th Street Salon & Spa has a yoga studio, B Well Yoga. They have a class that I have taken that is geared towards those with limited mobility/flexibility/restrictions for whatever reason, or just new to yoga. The classes are small and there were all ages, shapes, and sizes participating. I think it's their Therapeutic Flow class. And I liked the instructor. I don't go now because it doesn't fit with my schedule but I'd say it's definitely worth looking into.

Check out All Sacred Tattoo in Denver. They're a non-profit tattoo shop who donate portion of all of their sales to a rotating set of charities. They mainly do blackwork tattoos but everything I've seen come out of that shop is gorgeous. Check them out https://allsacred.com/about/

Someone on a local group recommended Josh Eon Johnson (do a fb search) to me yesterday... I looked at his work and it's absolutely phenomenal. He's in Denver.

Has anyone ever tried the Restore class at SoulTree Yoga Studio? Any feedback for a yoga studio for a beginner in Louisville or Lafayette?
Carey B. replied:
Yoga at Soultree is amazing! I started as a beginner there a few years ago and found the instruction very clear. It's a lovely community where you won't feel out of place if you're just starting out. Restore is very relaxing and healing for the body. Beginners yoga with Deborah Asmus on Tuesday at 7 pm is fabulous.
Brenda M. replied:
Love, love, love Soul Tree Yoga studios, and all the classes I've tried. The Restore class is divine.

Lori G. replied:
Jessica, I understand completely! When I lived in Illinois, I co-created a yoga program for adolescent & teen girls and it did very well. I tried to host it at Soul Tree at the beginning of this year and had 1 girl show up in the 7 weeks the class was on the schedule. I advertised with the schools and with flyers around town. For some reason we just didn't have the community to support the classes. I do have other teens come to my classes, but not on a consistent basis. I would be willing to try the teen specific class again if I had a group of girls who were able to commit to a class series...and if the times fit it into everyone's schedule:)
I am looking for a nearby bikram yoga class/studio. Any recommendations? Are there any in Lafayette? The closer the better. Thank you!
Jennifer P. replied:
The closest true Bikram studio is in Boulder- Valmont/55 th, so east side of Boulder. CorePower offers a hot yoga that is based on Bikram but it's not quite the same - it's only an hour so the sequence is modified a bit.

Carrie R. replied:
Yoga Junction in Louisville has yoga classes. They are more yoga based than play based. It's so hard to find them at that age. I wish they let kids do yoga with us. I firmly believe that just putting them in a regular class is the best way to have them get a good understanding with it. Good luck!
