Smith Roofing in Petal, (601) 583-6429. The dad (now deceased) taught his sons to roof. There are five or six brothers and a few cousins. Family owned and operated. They did my house five years ago and have done many other people that I know, all without complaint. They are honest and do a quality job. Priced reasonable, between cheapest and way less than the most expensive.

I suggest driving around your neighborhood area looking for signs of houses with work done or being done, companies leave signs in a lot of yards. You might get a small discount if the roofers can keep jobs in the same area. Ask neighbors if they have recommendations. There are a lot of good services in the area but most are backed up right now. Check Google for "roofers in my area" then check their reviews and ratings. There are a lot of companies coming in from out of state. I'm sure most are good but you have a chance of a fly by night operation so do some research. If your roof is tar & shingle you might consider switching to a metal roof. Some FlexSeal spray can be a good patch if you need some time. Good Luck.

i hope its not a skylight issue, what i've learned is that they often can never be permanently fixed. i used Roofing Louisiana about a year and half ago on a skylight repair-- they sealed it and put new shingles around it but it still leaked and i had to have them come back this year and they said that the actual problem was not a roof leak but that the skylight needed to be replaced. so we replaced the skylight and now i'm waiting to see if we continue to have leak problems. it takes awhile to notice b/c you have to wait for the discoloration that is indicative of the small leak. so for me i have mixed reviews of Roofing Louisiana-- I think they should have told me when they first came out that the skylight needed replacing. I had to pay for the same repair twice. just make sure whoever you use is in good standing with the better business bureau: http://www.bbb.org/

Amelie Guillot McGill, for my second repair on the same spot i made a big fuss about having some sort of warranty in place. i don't want to have to pay for a third repair to the same area. no roofing company will warranty a roof repair but i do have a ten year warranty through the skylight manufacturer on the skylight so i would urge you to do the same if you have to order new skylights. just make sure when they are doing the repair that you get in writing whether the roof around the skylight is leaking or the skylight itself is leaking or both.

We're using Benoit Roofing. They have really good prices and was referred by a Builder. They were only a 2-3 week wait compared to 8-10 for Roofing LA. They were also about $700 cheaper for the work we need.

I used Benoits roofing and they were by far the lowest quote that I received. They replaced all the vents and a bit of wood under the shingles. I had a leak by a vent due to squirrels and they fixed it the same day that I called.

Gulf Coast Builders is my go-to.
