You really need to see a child psychiatrist. They have much more experience in this area. a child psychiatrist is an md and have much experience treating these disorders. Gail fernandez m.d. is now in private practice and was the director of training in child psych for many years at uci, her # 714 584 4005....she also speaks highly of dr mcintosh but this really is a child psych issue

Dr. Taraman at CHOC is a wonderful pediatric neurologist.

Gail Fernandez M.D. She was the attending physician at UCI department of neuropsychiatry. Specialist in psychiatry as well as neurology; mixed. And it sounds like your child's symptoms are in both categories. She is a very kind woman and definitely does not throw out medications like candy. I've never heard of Dr. Mcintosh; however, from my own experience, the only doctor I would ever recommend is Dr. Fernandez.
