Shop around at papowerswitch.com. also consider switching to propane for all or part of the house. It pays for itself quickly. Wi fi thermostat to remotely monitor. Use Madison Refrigeration for the thermostat.

The problem is Electric Baseboard Heat. You can save money by shopping the rates but that will only help so much.

We also are part time weekend visits and installed wifi thermostat with Vinny Madison Electric, for the electric heat. We drain the pipes and keep the house on 43 when not there. then turn up about 3 hours before we plan to arrive and it works wonderfully! Our bill is around $130-$150. Call Vinny - he will advise you best options!!!!!
