This is the legal requirements over here!! I think at that age most kids aren't mature enough to be making the right decision about something so permanent! It takes a lot of thought and time about finding the right image and the right artist!! A healing tattoo needs to be kept dry, will hurt if bumped and bashed at theme park and needs to be kept out of direct sunlight. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0300-0399/0381/Sections/0381.00787.html

Scratch The Surface on international drive is good, book an appointment for your second last day then you'll be fine for keeping it out sun and water. But they won't tattoo your 15 year old, Id required.
Has anyone had a tattoo done in Orlando? A friend is looking for recommendations, TIA x
Rosemary A. replied:
Like Lyndsey above my husband got his done at Hart And Huntingdon at Citywalk,he went in at the start of our hols and then the day before we were due to come home.He was getting a cover up and had chosen a gypsey girls head which was really colourful. The tattoo took about 4 hours and wasn,t cheap I think it was around 600 dollars but even now approx 6 years later the colours are still as strong.

^that's a little ridiculous to imply that every tattoo shop in Florida re-uses needles. I have gotten tattoos in Orlando, Ft Myers, New Smyrna Beach and every place has been sanitary and they have always waited to open up needle packs in front of me. As far as recommendations go, I would check out work and artists before you go. There are 2 shops in Kissimmee I would look into, Lizard Lounge (which i belive the owner is a fellow Brit and has different artists come over for guest spots sometimes. She may even be on this page). Another one is Fallen Sparrow, they are in Kissimmee in a more "touristy" part of town. Another one is Heavenly Inkz in Orlando, just south of Florida Mall, they have done pieces on me and my husband. Which ever shop you choose, go in on the first nights you are here, pick an artist, collaborate on what you want and get it done on the last day, that way you can go swimming, not worry about sun burn etc. Happy inking!

Is there any walk in tattoo places in either lake buena vista or international drive? If so who's been to get one over there, can they show me their tattoos? :)

Just come back & both myself & partner got new tattoos. I got one on my thigh & one on my arm. No problem at all. I had planned our itinerary so there was no waterparks towards the end of the holiday & just wore a dress or slightly longer shorts. Didn't stop me going the parks/on rides. I go to Gabe at Armadillo Reds on the 192 opposite Medieval Times. He has a Fb page & always quick to respond.
