Looking to get a tattoo. Where is the best place to go? Looking to get something small, no bigger than two fingers in width. Being so small, I'm probably over thinking...

Go see Monte.. I've gotten almost all of my work done by him.. http://montetattoo.com/wp/

I would not ever recommend Megan from Metamorphosis, I can send you pictures of the line work on my half sleeve if you wanna know exactly why. However, Dan Modesitt (I think I spelled his last name right) has done everything else on me and I can't recommend him enough. He works at the west side Artistic Skin Design studio if I remember right, but he has a bit of a waiting list nowadays if I remember correctly.

I got mine at Metamorphosis a couple of years ago.. I thought it turned out well.. It's my only tattoo so I can't compare it pricewise, but I'm getting another this summer and will go back to metamorphosis. My current tattoo.. http://imgur.com/ai4 vk

I couldn't find anyone I liked in Indy so I ended up driving to Cinci (right outside). Look up Ken's Kustom Tattoos in Loveland Ohio. Here is what I got [Done](http://i.imgur.com/0S8RF.jpg?1) He was decently priced and his work looked great. Great portrait artist.

[Amanda Cancilla](http://www.artisticskindesigns.com/amanda_noble.htm) at Artistic Skin Design in Noblesville is great. She did my girlfriend's sleeve. She is very cool, and her prices are reasonable.

If you truly care about quality, Brandee at Native Ink outside of Anderson is unquestionably the best in the state.

If you don't mind traveling, you might consider Personal Art in Lake Station. I don't really like their website (personalartinc.com) but Jeanne does great work.

You should go lower back.

Go see with Aldo at Carmel Ink or Jacob at Irish Ink on Mass Ave

I like Megan and Trevor at [Metamorphosis](http://metamorphosisink.com) in Broad Ripple. They have both designed nice stuff for me and my husband. I've heard really good things about [Voluta](http://www.volutatattoo.com) but have not gone to any artists there. Edit: I should add that we haven't lived in Indy for two years, but are moving back this month. I heard some rumblings from a friends about Voluta but had forgotten about it. Thanks to /u/dynasonic for the reminder.

Metamorphosis overcharges hard. I would recommend Irish Ink on Mass Ave.

I have had all of my work performed by Trevor Patton at Metamorphosis in Broad Ripple. He is extremely kind and knowledgeable about the art. He can accept print outs or custom draw your new tattoo from scratch or a combination of both. Very sanitary and well instructed establishment. Cant say enough about the man or its owners Kristen and Joe Otter.

Go with Artistic Skin Design or Metamorphosis. These are the best places, been to both for mine. I have random small ones, too. They both do great work.

I've had both my tattoos done within the past year by Michele at Voluta Tattoos. They're bright and beautiful, and I really can't recommend her enough.

I've gotten really good work from Biggins at Steel Rod Tattoo on 38 th and Lafayette and his prices are more than reasonable. They have some other really good artists there too.
