I am in the EXACT same position. This guy David Detrick is the guy to talk to. He cuts the soffit out and puts in the clips, then stuccos it back together when he's done. It takes two days. I was quoted at about $1,400 for a 1400 sq ft home. Reach him at 954-916-7769 or david@fichome.com. He will quote you if you send him your wind mitt. Good luck.

. Remember back in 2010 and 2012 when you got a letter from Citizens saying they were sending an inspector "at no cost to you", to come out and verify your Wind Mitigation Verification Form, and then your premium went up anywhere from a few hundred to over a thousand dollars. Yeah that was Don Myler Inspections, Inc that came up with that scheme. As an independent inspector who is not beholden to the insurance companies, we had to go back and redo hundreds of Wind Mits to regain the credits for our clients. If anyone out there has any questions about Wind Mits or Insurance PM me anytime. I recently had my insurance shopped around and got a significantly better rate. There is life after Citizens.

I'm not aware of what it is that you are referring to, all I can speak on is what I know to be true. We manage@30 HOA's which breaks down to over 4000 units and we have used Don Meyler for each Association and have also sent countless owners to him for service. I have not heard a bad word on his service, price or even the outcome.
