I forget the name of the business, but the owner's name is Connie, IIRC. Do NOT recommend. The guy that did the work in our kitchen fucked up and we had to have everything ripped out and redone.

On the Missouri side there is "St. Charles hardwoods" which has a location in Fenton, MO (south county) and St. Charles. there is also a place in St. Peters which has a lot of posts on craigslist if you search for "hardwoods." I would imagine there is some place on the IL side, but I don't know that area as well.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like when I need wood I'll be hooking up the trailer, driving quite a ways, and buying a lot. Usually when you think of moving to a more populated area you assume everything will be available near by. Unfortunately that's only true for the mainstream type of stores :(
