I'm in desperate need of a OBGYN! I just moved from Texas and it seems nobody wants to see me since I'm high risk. Does anyone know of any doctors around here? I tried...
Nicole J. replied:

Heart of Florida. Dr. Alkali is great. I was very high risk. He took very well care of me and my baby. So I know they take high risk but I don't know about being high risk and on medicaid. But he is the best Dr in this area.

Exodus 687-2229
Janie H. replied:
You are not missing out by having cooper or any of them in highlands county take care of you especially if your high risk. I go to loch haven in Orlando. Mostly has something to do with how far along you are and the type of insurance you have. Winnie Palmer is good too.
Keanna W. replied:
I use to work on labor and delivery at lakeland regional. If you have Medicaid, Watson clinic nor lakelamd ob/gyn doesn't take. You can see the midwives that are associated with lakeland Ob/gyn and they report to the drs there and may have you seen them. Exodus does take Medicaid but you would need to deliver at Brandon hospital. They do not give your prenatal records to lakeland regional. Barstow health dept would be the best option if wanting to stay local. The OB that would treat you use to be at Watson clinic is very very knowledgeable and good. Hope this helps.
Melissa H. replied:
Celebration ob/gyn in Davenport. 863-424-4321
Amy W. replied:
heart of florida OBGYN - all their drs are great. I love Dr. Ferdinad and Alkass the best
Amber R. replied:
Most of the places in polk county will transfer you out. Bartow health dept sent me to a place in Tampa after reviewing the records of my first high risk pregnancy. Since I've had a horrible experience with Usf I refuse to go back to TGH & we've settled on All Childrens in St Pete (I have my first appt with them today at 18 weeks) I had a friend who was high risk deliver at Winnie Palmer in Orlando & it was nice. Good luck!
Tabitha M. replied:
I had a high risk group in Orlando through ORMC. Our son was a preemie at 27 weeks and born at Arnold Palmer Hospital. You could try calling the Winnie Palmer Hospital (across from Arnold Palmer) and they may suggest one of theirs. That is since you have already traveled to Tampa area. I wouldn't trust any one other than the awesome people at the 2 Palmer Hospitals.
