Karlie: Anyone know of a nail place that actually sterilizes their nail equipment? TIA
Veronica S. replied:
Hana Nails, Eric the nail tech uses brand new bags, makes you put your signature on them when he opens them in front of you and then tosses it in the trash after. Very very clean nail salon with professional nail techs
Suzi D. replied:
What ever you do, DO NOT go to Swan Nails !! I got fungus from them and lost both toenails I turn them in & they got cited two times. Big fines
Brooke W. replied:
Bamboo nails at Spring and Palo Verde opens the packet of clean tools right in front of you.
Michael M. replied:
Yes. Dr. Khawam on Woodruff Ave. just south of Carson offers Sterile pedicures and my wife loves them. She also knows how to sterilize properly as she is a surgeon and has to do so for that aspect of her practice. You will actually get the pedicure from a specialist and it is very reasonably priced.
Lara B. replied:
Check YELP, but also avoid Swan Nails. I got a bad skin infection after getting my nails done there. I reported them to the Barbering and Cosmetology board, they inspected them and cited them for dozens of violations. George Oliveri Salon has nail services and they are clean and sanitary.
Denise W. replied:

I have never had an issue with Nails Boutique in Studebaker & Anaheim or Hana Nails, but Hana Nails the wait is always too long and they are SLOW! One time a pedicure took over an hour! My last pedicure was from Le My's Nails in Downey....they were great, and everything was clean. Kiwi Nails in Belmont Shore is nice and clean too, but can be booked.
Kayla M. replied:
Hana Nails: A Modern Spa makes you sign a new package each time... so I'm thinking it's sterilized.
Lindsay W. replied:
If you're looking for a pedicure. My podiatrist has a sterile spa. A Step Above Foot Care and the technician as amazing. It's $45, but I'm guaranteed autoclaved equipment, a stellar pedi, and no foot fungus.

Bettys Nails"" in Whittier really good
