I'm a big fan of Lakewood Eye Physicians ... 562-531-2020 ... but I don't know what their cash prices are. They are MDs so it might be billed through your regular medical, but again I have no idea.

As a optician I say if the child is under 10 you should go to a pediatric ophthalmologist for the first exam. Once you are sure it is just visual a optometrist is fine. Try Dr Jotterand in Long beach she will take your medical insurance not vision care. Kids should not be seen at Costco for their first exams

Dr. Avani Patel in Los Alamitos...not the cheapest for eye exam but she is wonderful with kids and I think works w/the school district as well. For my daughter, we do the exam with her and then take the prescription to get glasses at Costco, all out of pocket. I'd highly recommend her (562)430-6161

Dr Gottlieb at Del Amo & Palo verde is awesome. And he also has a practice at the Lakewood Mall, down from Costco. 1 hour service and prices start lower than Costco. Del Amo office 562-420-2055. Mall 562-630-2020.

LB family optometry over on palo verde and spring are THE best! They test for glaucoma, but WITHOUT that stupidass spurt in your eye! The doctor is amazing and all the girls in the office are sweet and helpful. As far as OBGYN, ANY doctors with Complete Women Care are AHHHHMAZING. Good luck!!
