We had State Farm for over 30 years and had a claim $1500 on roof on our house 3 years ago and had a claim on our investment property due to break in stealing ac and copper (not insured with state far) 2 years ago and when we bought new home in June they denied us the policy even though had been with them 30 years, 2 houses, 2 cars, life insurance and mutual funds...we pulled all our policies and went with farm bureau, and saved over 500 a year also. Would not recommend them. My mom is real happy with liberty mutual. Talk to the shop and they will let you know which companies pay the best and easiest in your area.
