I slipped on ice yesterday and while I did not fall, I twisted my back pretty bad. Heading to the Dr today, since I am walking like an 90 year old, but figured he is...

Beth, I know someone who does incredible work with things like this and so much more. His name is Darold Starliper and he owns Structural Integration. www.YourVitality.netwww.yourvitality.net/structural-integration He's fixed me up from a fractured wrist and has helped numerous friends of mine with back injuries and knee injuries. He goes where a chiropractor isn't trained to go.

I did the same thing on my run last week I fell and wrenched myself badly. Nervous and achy and praying I have not done anything serious given my neck issues. I am not a fan of Chiropractic work but am a huge believer in physical therapy. Stretching, strengthening. Dan Neff in Quarryville is the best. Highly recommend him. Good luck and I'll be hoping you are okay!!!
Kecia P. replied:
I agree with Dr. Withum at Wenger Chiropractic. Serena is also good, but she was a little to "gentle" for my liking.

Advanced Chiropractic & Rehab- Dr. Rustin Glass is a friend and neighbor and he's awesome! He's very well-respected and a lot of doctors refer to him. He fixes your problem and doesn't try to sell you on a bunch of repeat visits if they aren't needed.

Good chiropractor recommendations in the Lancaster/Lititz area.... go!
Matthew M. replied:
Brian Burke is half correct. You need to build your muscles to help your back in the long term. Chiropractor is short term. I know I see a chiropractor when my disks slip out of place and he does put them back in place. I never thought something like that would ever work. What you need to do is find a place that will help adjust you, then get a massage, finally start doing back exercises to strengthen your back for the long haul.

Dr. Guarino on fruitville pike right across from kmart. He is awesome!

Ashlee House I actually don't work there anymore. Long story. I honestly wouldn't recommend Cavallo chiropractic anyway because its all about $ to them. They had me push and push ppl to keep coming back and prolonging their treatment plan. Just not into that!

Local friends: a recommendation for a good chiropractor? My back is a mess (AJ worked on it a little last faire season, I'm sure he'd agree!) and I need to get my...
Traci H. replied:
Dana Their number is 7172859955 if it helps at all.
Seriously, Dana? I mean, the guy with the vials . . . whoa, nut case! I have gone to several chiropractors over the years. Ages ago I went to 2 different guys in Lancaster/Millersville area, one of whom was seriously committed to xrays which meant he could charge lots more $$. In Lebanon, a few years ago (when I was misdiagnosed for almost a year and sought pain relief in several directions . . . hell, I was ready to go find somebody with little vials!), our insurance would cover a decent % if I went to a chiropractor who accepted insurance (Dr. Bunch does not but his fees are quite reasonable). Well, the dude I hooked up with was truly odd. He wanted me to buy some super special shoes (for about $500), zapped me a few times with some odd electrical device, and chuckled a lot. When I suggested it might help if he actually tried "hands on adjustment," he seemed dismayed, did some kind of "adjusting" to my neck (even though the pain was in my leg). That's when I took Mia Seitz's advice and began seeing Dr. Bunch. I only see him when in pain and feel I've been lifting heavy stuff or otherwise stressing my structure . . . maybe two or three times a year. But what an improvement.
Jimmy W. replied:
I second Traci's motion, because I go to the same guy. His name is Dr. Andrew Ashton, and it always helps
Ruth R. replied:
Dana. Dr. Bunch is on route 72, about 5 or 6 miles directly north of the Faire, in case you are inclined toward him. H doesn't take any kind of insurance but his fees are quite reasonable. $40 for initial visit, $20 thereafter. Alas, if you have to sit in waiting room and listen to 700 Club; go prepared with headphones/ear buds. But he is a classic practitioner!
Traci H. replied:
Dr. Andrew isn't too expensive either
Tom R. replied:
Ruth Roy sees Dr. Bunch in Lebanon
Dana M. replied:
I'm sold. Calling Monday for sure! The last chiro I went to in Lancaster was so out there that I wanted to ask him to take a drug test before working on me
Can anyone recommend a good chiropractor in Lancaster? Someone reputable & works with all age groups.
Thank you all for any help you may have!
God bless!
