Hello all! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a cake decorator and a florist? I'm getting married next October and need to get these things off of my list. Thank...

Michael Boskee the only problem with your idea is that white was condemned the last time I heard, because of asbestos and lead paint...idk if that's still true or if they have tried to do anything about it..I had one choir concert their and I remember that's the first place I saw the Kiwanis kapers do their comedy show too...I hope they give the community the chance to fix it up..
Kara L. replied:
Last year a group tried buying White with hopes to put Loving Hands Clinic in it along with numerous other ventures, they were turned down but I can't remember the reasoning. They may still be trying. I also know from Hollis Hayes, that a group of area businesses had joined with hopes to purchase years ago but nothing ever came of it. It's a beautiful building that should be revived!
Amy D. replied:
I would LOVE for them to make White Jr High into housing for our homeless in Lapeer, The Refuge needs a permanent home and so many people are sleeping inside tents right now, when the winter comes only churches open up for the people to sleep and they need to go elsewhere for the day. Im sure if they were living with a roof over there head no matter what kind of shape it was in that these people would be grateful and volunteers could help to maintain it..sounds simple enough but i know that this is probably me just dreaming but hey miracles do happen
Joyce B. replied:
Roy Sexton now owns the former Perkins place. Lapeer Community Schools still owns E.T. White.

I recommend Altu's Ethiopian Restaurant in Lansing. It's an hour via i-69, so while not the prettiest drive, the food and experience is amazing!
