Looks like we need a new water heater. As we take care of our flooded basement, could anyone recommend a good, quick plumber who can take care of this? Thanks in advance.
Walter R. replied:
We replaced a 75 gal tank unit with a high capacity tankless model. We hired Ken Griffin Plumbing who did excellent work. Look back into the April or May time frame for my posts here where some other plumbers were recommended. Make sure your contractor pulls the necessary permits and schedules an inspection. Sorry to hear about the basement flooding.

Not that this week could get any worse, but my bathroom ceiling is leaking. Joel's not here, anyone know a plumber ???
Kevin M. replied:
Marie, here are two highly recommended plumbers from the West Laurel yahoo group: Kevin Black 301-776-7520 Robert Bookhultz 301-317-6706, If the ceiling is leaking, it must be from your upstairs neighbor. Have you talked to them. You probably don't have any pipes of your own in the ceiling ....
Alex Jennier (301) 440-5750http://www.alexsplumbingmd.com/about.html Probably not the cheapest but we were very happy with his work. He was the third plumber to fix the same issue at our house and he did it right.
Want to replace all of the copper pipes in my house - anyone recommend a plumber?
Matthew H. replied:
Scott's number is 703-369-1715
William H. replied:
Gordon Platter might be available. He used to live near us back in the 70 s. Not sure if you remember him. He's been a plumber for 30 years. He may be out of work so it would be mutually beneficial.

Scott Jinks is a fantastic plumber and a family friend. Want me to get you his number?
The pipes to our sprinkler system in a residential rental burst... anyone have any recommendations for a sprinkler company? Apparently a regular plumber is not enough...
Friggin awesome start to the week. Leak in one bathroom of my house destroys the other. The plumber can't find the leak and now I'm about to enter a world of gypsum dust...
