ISO of a seamstress to alter an evening gown (mostly lace). Don't even know if it's possible. All recommendations welcome!

Mr. Shin in the mall - lower level. He is by far the best! I've used him for formal gowns several times to include my wedding gown. I have used him for over 10 years and have never been disappointed.

I really liked working with Tang's in Manassas. They're very friendly, do great work, and I really appreciated that they didn't pile on unnecessary alterations when they probably could have.

Estee Livioco in Rockville is great! Me, my sister who is getting married in March, and my BM, who is getting married in May have or are planning to use her for alterations. I will say that she books VERY FAST, especially when it gets closer to wedding season, so make sure you're on top of it if you choose her. If you're thinking closer to VA, Angie Cavallaro would be the 'equivalent' of an Estee. If that makes sense!

Nazemi Bridal in Georgetown. SHE IS AMAZING. She worked wonders on my dress and altered it to be exactly what I wanted. She was also not afraid to push back when I made alteration suggestions that would have negatively affected the integrity of the dress. I cannot recommend her enough!

I used the seamstress at Cherry Blossom Bridal in DC for my wedding dress. I had her add more lace to it as well as bring it in. I don't know if they will do dresses not bought from them, but it's certainly worth looking into because she was great!

She doesn’t have a website, and mostly does her stuff thru word of mouth. If you need to confirm her number, pm me and I can give it to you. She’s pretty good with keeping in touch, so it might be a hiccup!
