We're big fans of Grant Ritchie - he's up in Tonganoxie, which makes for a pleasant (and short) drive to get there. I believe he uses gas. Full disclosure, he's a personal friend and a great guy. Edit - who's downvoting this person's post? They're asking for local info, that's exactly what the sub is for!

I am also terrified of the dentist but I have been very surprised by the level of comfort provided by Dr Jones and staff at Cascade Dental on Wakarusa. Do not know if they use gas - the thought of being unaware of what's going on is even more terrifying to me.

I like Dr. Jamie Ritchie at Cascade Dental on Wakarusa. She is very gentle and her dental assistants can do OraSpa if you are anxious during cleanings.

Robert Gatti! I can't recommend him enough. Not only does he knock you out, you get to select the music. It isn't cheap, and not very many insurance providers cover much of his costs.. but he's the only place I go. I used to faint every time I got my teeth cleaned. It's not just the cleaning, it's also the anesthesia and monitoring that adds to the cost. Our vet said he gets nervous every time he puts a dog under. Sedation is inherently risky. I would not cut cost corners on this kind of procedure personally. We always do the pre-surgical bloodwork to id any hidden health issues. It would be tragic if we lost our dog to an elective surgery.
