Sticky traps + Haley Pest. We used Midwest for a couple of years but they weren't doing a very good job so we switched to Haley 3 years ago and they've done great for us. We typically have them spray at the beginning of Spring, and one more time in July or August and that takes care of them well (along with the damn ants!).

Haha Jen. I see what you did there. We miss you too! Per Shelly's suggestion I think I'll just use hedge apples like the pioneers (who probably learned it from the Native Americans) before me, combined with some glue traps. I hear Brown Recluse Solutions uses natural remedies as well if my DIY project doesn't work out. I'll be sure to post my results.
