Looking for recommendations for a veterinarian. Had a horrible experience yesterday with Basking Ridge Animal Hospital and I am looking to switch to a new practice.

Sorry Dodds! CANINE VACCINATION PROTOCOL – 2012 MINIMAL VACCINE USE W. Jean Dodds, DVM HEMOPET / HEMOLIFE 11561 Salinaz Avenue Garden Grove, CA 92843 Phone: (714) 891-2022 Fax: (714) 891-2123 e mail: hemopet@hotmail.com Note: The following vaccine protocol is offered for those dogs where minimal vaccinations are advisable or desirable. The schedule is one I recommend and should not interpreted to mean that other protocols recommended by a veterinarian would be less satisfactory. It's a matter of professional judgment and choice. Age of Pups Vaccine Type 9 - 10 weeks 14 weeks 16 -18 weeks (optional) 20 weeks or older, if allowable by law 1 year 1+ years old Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV (e.g. Nobivac DPV) Same as above (optional) Rabies Rabies, killed 3-year product (give 3-4 weeks apart from distemper/parvovirus booster) Distemper + Parvovirus, MLV or an optional titer test Rabies, killed 3-year product (give 3-4 weeks apart from distemper/parvovirus booster) Perform vaccine antibody titers for distemper and parvovirus every three years thereafter, or more often, if desired. Vaccinate for rabies virus according to the law, except where circumstances indicate that a written waiver needs to be obtained from the primary care veterinarian. In that case, a rabies antibody titer can also be performed to accompany the waiver request. Purchase a DVD of Dr. Dodds speaking at the 2010 Safer Pet Vaccination and Health Care Seminar. She spoke for more than 2 hours and answered questions on vaccination safety and managing and avoiding adverse reactions. Sign up for more information on the DVD at www.dogs4 dogs.com/saferpet All proceeds above cost benefit the RabiesChallengeFund study of the rabies vaccine. Dr. Dodds does diagnostic testing, including titer testing, at Hemopet.org

Dr. Blaicher in Bedminster. He is great!
Jack V. replied:
Dr Greybek followed her dads footsteps, they are caring people and treat animals like people. I drove one of my customers to Basking Ridge Animal hospital, it just didn't seem like a place that cared, and they kept selling her geriatric cat food at 3 times the price of regular cat food, Another humanitarian vet is Ted Weltner down on Washington Ave in Green Brook, I believe it is Green Brook Animal hospital, Ted is the same way, talks to his patients(animals) as they are humans.

Trudy V. replied:
If its a puppy from a breeder, she should have informed you on when to administer the vaccines. All dogs should follow Dr. Jean Dobb's vaccination protocol
