Hi! We are moving to the area in the spring. Debating between Brentwood and Mt Juliet. Can anyone share some of the nicer areas/neighborhoods? I love good grocery stores...
Tammy G. replied:
Mt. Juliet has a wonderful homeschool community. There are several co-op/tutorials in the area also.
Whitney N. replied:
I LOVE mt Juliet! Fresh market is 20 minutes away. Spence Creek is an amazing place to raise a family
Laurie A. replied:
Depends on what you are looking for..... Median House Cost is higher in Brentwood, and there real estate tax is higher as well. Some might say crime is statistically higher here but I love Mt. Juliet and there police dept is incredible too...... Other factors are do you want to live in Mt Juliet City or Mt Juliet County - Do you want a HOA community or do you want land ect ect
Laurie A. replied:
Oh.... and use realtracs.com to look at the housing options... its kind of a one stop middle tn sight and its easy to break down by your requirements
Nannette P. replied:
Hendersonville is another option. I lived there for 15 years before moving to Mt Juliet. Hendersonville/Gallatin has a ton of new houses being built in all price ranges. A lot of new stores are opening up just like Mt Juliet. I love both places. Brentwood is much more expensive. Looked at moving there. Just too much traffic on the main roads for me.
Teresa C. replied:
Both are great cities. Mount Juliet is much more affordable but only about 20 minutes to Brentwood to go to Whole Foods. We just moved to Mount Juliet and I love it!!
Judy M. replied:
The county part of Mt. Juliet. Providence area is too crowded for me, although this area is growing too, but not as many businesses. Schools are good. Mt. Juliet Police Dept is excellent. We have lived here 38 years.
George A. replied:
We love Wright Farms in MJ. Check it out.
Ryan T. replied:
You can't go wrong with any of the great Keller Williams agents that have commented on this thread! The KW market center in Mount Juliet is leading the way in Wilson Co. Happy House Hunting!! Call us if we can help!! https://www.facebook.com/615PropertyGroup/
I've lived in franklin/ Brentwood and if you want to feel a sense of home with real good people Mt Juliet is the best choice. At least it was for me
Stephanie S. replied:
Both places cost of living are high right now. Brentwood maybe higher but neither are reasonable. We just moved to Mt Juliet from Texas a few months ago and are renting for now due to a very quick move for work . The housing market is ridiculous
Briana B. replied:
I sent you a PM with some information:)It may have gone to your "other" folder. I recently moved to Mt Juliet from New York.
Melanie G. replied:
Lisa Rappa is your girl!!!
Deri P. replied:
I live in Mt Juliet. Used to work in Brentwood and have friends there. Big factor that several have mentioned is the traffic. If you choose Brentwood, you don't want to be anywhere near Old Hickory Blvd especially near where it intercepts I-65 anytime near rush hour which is 8-9 AM, but starts up around 3 or 4 PM and goes until 6:30ish. BRUTAL! If you choose Mt Juliet, beware of the Providence shopping area that is located at Mt Juliet Rd and I-40 for traffic congestion, regardless of the time or day. Good for shopping and eating, but wouldn't want to live at that end of town and contend with traffic every time you want to leave your house. MJ Police Dept is very community oriented. They have a wonderful presence here. Not uncommon to see an officer stop to shoot a few hoops with kids in a neighborhood or stop to support a lemonade stand. Moved her from a rural area in Canada 23 years ago and stayed. Several great churches here too. We go to Joy Church. Super friendly people and a Pastor who makes learning the Word fun and relevant. Praying for you to land in just the right spot for you and your family....wherever that may be. God bless you.
James D. replied:
