Danielle Whitener is the Owner of Freebird and this Studio rules, you can ride with me if you want to try it out!
Daryn J. replied:
Leighanne Buchanan is one of the founding members of the Nashville yoga community, I cannot say enough good things about her. Danielle at Freebird is creating an exciting new community with such fresh energy and passion. We're lucky to have so much quality yoga led by passionate, highly trained instructors all over this city. Steadfast and True in Germantown, Shakti on Music Row, Liberation in 12south... The thing I love most about Nashville yoga is that there is a place for all of us. Look around, try a few, and you'll find a place that fits your life and needs. And all of our Nashville studios are locally owned. No big chains, so your money goes directly into your community and the teachers who live right next door. Its pretty dreamy.
I’m thinking about going a yoga class. I don’t want to look like a fool or feel embarrassed because this will be my first time trying it out
Brandi L. replied:
body and soul Fittness has sessions starting next week at Grace Bible Fellowship. $30 for a 6 week class. Sara is great giving modifications to make it easier/harder with each pose. Great if you are new or not into the Eastern religious aspect of it.

I just started at Unity Yoga in MJ. Very welcoming and a variety of classes. Also, they have a 30 days for $30 initial sign up offer-which allows you to try out all the classes! They do use music in most classes which I find strange, and a bunch of instructors like to burn incense while class is happening. But, if you tell them you are allergic, they are pretty good about putting incense out. The instructors know their stuff, are super supportive, and it is a wonderful place to get into it! Best!
