The one we used a few years ago is Perch Pool - great little site with three sides of the camping field surrounded by the river. Not recommended if you have a large Troop, as the field isn't that large. Alternatively, you could use Butcher's Coppice, just up the road - both are in Bournemouth and about 20 minutes drive from the ferry at Sandbanks. Hope you have a good time.

Hi all, looking to run a week long Cub camp at either Miskin Village or Silvercross Scout Centre in South Wales next summer. Anyone have any experiences of these two...
Ruth T. replied:
Been to both with Cubs for week camps, we prefer Miskin just be aware of the trains, don't put your sleeping tents too near the edge of the field put them nearest the path, you also get use of a shelter on site that is great as a kitchen. Loads to do in the area all within short distances. This is the link to our you tube slide show of the week. https://youtu.be/rSK6NQVtxjQ

without any doubt go for zojirushi. Different sizes and models available. They are expensive but they keep your drink hot all day and are comfortable to drink out of. I make coffee at 7 am, drink out of it all morning and it is still hot at midday. It is still hot at 5 pm if I haven't drunk it by then. I may sound evangelical bit it is sooooo much better than any flask or mug I have had in the past. Mine is a smaller and older model but the newer design apparently keeps drinks hotter... not sure how it can though. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HYOGUM2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T1_S02 uzb4NDWH4K
