See an endodontist. A. Dentists in MA unfortunately do not need training beyond dental school to perform any procedure. It's a big problem - google it. B. Bonding is a very old, archaic process. There are MUCH better technologies today. People tend to bond because it's a quick fix and less expensive than other procedures, but, in the long run, it is not. It's VERY temporary; the material stains over time; it WILL eventually crack and chip.and the underlying tooth will be impacted over time. Once that underlying tooth is impacted, your choices to repair are limited and expensive. C. Dentists are looking at the tooth. Period. They are not considering the tissue and the long term impact of that tooth for the overall function of the full mouth. That's what an endodontist will do. Eventually, a bonded tooth will stand out in the mouth - it will be very unsightly since bonded teeth tend to be front teeth. If these are baby teeth without underlying adult teeth to take their place, no matter what your dentist says, don't assume the baby teeth are there for good. There's so much that has to be considered, and I would take the time to get an opinion from an endo. If Worcester's not too far, Dr. Abraham Hadad is the best outside of going into Boston. He will not bond. But he'll give you the straight story on what your options are and what you can expect to happen to the mouth over time if you do bond.
