Dr. Russell at Russell Orthodontics of Grayson absolutely saved my life when I was in 8th grade 5 years ago. I had a spacing problem on my top teeth and a crowding problem on my bottom teeth and he said with braces it would take upwards of 4 years to fix (meaning I would've probably still had them by now at 19 and then would've had to have a surgery to cut a nerve that would've made my teeth space out again on top). I asked about Invisalign and he said that having Invisalign would take 9 months-a year but that it's wayyyyy more expensive. My mom and I were pretty poor and could barely afford braces so we said we'd have to think it over. He then offered us a deal of basically half off the Invisalign because he said he hates seeing kids hate their smile while they have braces and that kids should be able to enjoy their teenage years without being self conscious of yet another thing. So he gave me the Invisalign for an absolutely insane discount that actually made them cheaper than braces and after I broke a couple pairs (I was a very reckless kid) he started giving me a backup pair for free as well. He is an amazing dude, super personable and friendly and will work with you on basically any problem you have. I'm beginning to sound like a corporate shill right now but he really saved me so much heartache and so much money that I recommend him to absolutely everybody.

Silver Smiles is very good. They're very honest and don't force you to do the fastest and most expensive things. They don't put 8 year olds in braces and pointless shit, they want to provide the most comfortable experience while balancing cost and methods. I would go back again if I needed braces again.

Dr. Dunwody, Dunwody Orthodontics, is a perfectionist. So not really a good choice if you're just looking for "good enough" as he'll want to keep you in braces till it's perfect, although I'm sure he'd work with you about the stopping point if money was an issue. Has two offices, one is Lawrenceville & one in Duluth off of Sugarloaf Pkwy.
