http://www.drcorbitt.com/ When we looked around, they were all within a few hundred dollars. I think Dr. Corbitt was the cheapest but we went with them because my wife liked them and the location worked. We do like them. They take my son back right away every time and are very professional.

I also endorse Dr. Corbitt! He is the type who will not push any thing on you and he does not lie or exagerate. Support staff is super also!
Brice sees Dr. Shaughnessy in Johns Creek. Super nice guy who came highly recommended by Dr. MacMaster at Alpharetta Children's Dentistry. We have not actually gotten braces yet, just two visits (which were at no charge) to evaluate things. I've also heard good things about Windermere Orthodontics. http://www.straightteethdoc.com/

At age 25, it has been 10 years since braces and since wearing my retainer (which I lost). One of my teeth shifted, and I went to Wright Orthodontics in Toco Hills (north druid hills area), and for $350 I got a retainer and was seen by the orthodontist over several months until my tooth shifted back. They are easy to schedule with, friendly, and convenient for me. I'm not sure if this is close enough to you, but I was very satisfied.
