check with Nebraska's state bank regulator/commissioner to make sure you're working with someone reputable. Also, in Topeka, we have an organization called Housing and Credit Counseling. It's a non-profit and a free service. I don't know if Nebraska has something similar, but you could check with the Kansas one to find out http://www.hcci-ks.org/
