I liked my doctor, but the office staff is too much. I saw my primary doctor on June 14. I had to see him so he could give me a referral to see the cadiologist on the 19 th (referrals are a requirement with BCN) On the morning of the 19 th I called the cardiologist to ensure the referral was there. No referral. I call my doctor's office. I was told the person who does the referrals is on vacation. Nobody else can do it. I had to cancel my cardiologist appointment. Two weeks later it was apparent I was not going to get the referral so I tried changing Primary Care doctors. That ran into roadblocks. The website would show a doctor accepts BCN but when I call I am told they do not. Those who did take BCN would not schedule new patients for at least 3 weeks. I finally get the Referral Queen at my doctor's office who says she will send the referral to my Cardiologist, but it will take a few days to do it. My appointment with the cardiologist is next week. I got a feeling the Referral Queen will not have the magical referral done by then. I think it is best to change my Primary, try to see him in the next couple of days in order to have the referral. BTW: When I cancelled my Cardiologist appointment last month, I explained the problem with the referral. The office manager told me he had the same doctor and had problems with getting a referral He said once he changed doctors he never had another problem with getting a referral.
