Pallone is awesome. Tons of knowledge and a super vet but expensive. Angel Jordan is great and affordable ... And Scott is awesome times two and is reasonable and will give vaccines and work with troubled horses if needed ... Nothing but good to say about all these folks .. They have all been wonderful to my equines and myself in many situations
Deidra H. replied:
Angel Jordan, vet Scott Goodwin, farrier. (501) 286-9428 Couldn't do without either of them this last year. Scott has went with me to look at horses and even helped correct tack and behavior issues. He will do horses of any size and mules. He is an all round knowledgeable guy and will answer you questions plus explain what he is doing.
Scott B. replied:
Make sure your farrier is full time. I use Scott Goodwin also. Kevin McChurch floats my horses teeth. There prices are the best I've found. Scott Goodwin is the real deal like Deidra E Hill says he is.
Karen M. replied:
Angel Jordan is the best she on Facebook

while they don’t specialize in cats bryant family animal clinic (not lr i’m sorry) is where we have taken our pets for around 7 years now. no one works with our animals better or cares about them more than dr scott. i can not sing their praises enough

Our vet referred us to [AR Veterinary Emergency & Specialists ](www.aveslittlerock.com) for advanced allergy testing for our Westies. We’ve not been to see them yet because our current meds are working for now. But they have specialists in allergies and dermatology. Edit: Can’t get the link to work: aveslittlerock.com
Can any Conway folks recommend a good veterinarian?
Catherine B. replied:
I would recommend both Dr. Hartman & Dr. Roath at Hartman Animal Hospital
Alicia D. replied:
Chestnut Animal Clinic
Amber W. replied:
We love Dr. Gabbard for our dogs. He is wonderful! http://animalcarevetcenter.com/
Jennifer D. replied:
I will second St. Francis. Dr. Cabantac is UCA's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee attending vet. He knows his stuff and is very compassionate. My cats see Dr. Stone; she is likewise compassionate and has a great sense of humor. Bart, my beloved first cat, lived to be a spritely nineteen, despite liver disease, asthma, diabetes, and an overactive thyroid under Dr. Stone's care.
Kristen S. replied:
Dr. Tj Cabantac at St. Francis is the best! Dr. Sharon Stone there is great, too. Can't go wrong at St. Francis. 501-327-9200.
Alicia M. replied:
I also would recommend Chestnut Animal Clinic. The Alicia's both agree on the same one.

Bill J. replied:
Just a side note...I had to take one of my dogs in to Weems Rd on Sat. They were quick and I ended up having to take the dog to the Vet ER on Manchester Expressway for some other treatment. Anyway Weems Rd just called me to check on my dog. From a customer service perspective that tellls you a lot! More places should be like that...doctors offices!
Lisa M. replied:
River Rd. Animal Clinic is GREAT!!!! and they also call you back to check to see how your pet is doing.
Penny C. replied:
Dr. Moshell at University Ave. Pet Clinic. Kim Williams told me about them and I LOVE them! The don't take all your money and they always fit you in quickly. Super nice folks.
I'm looking for a reasonably priced West Little Rock Veterinarian clinic. Who do you take your pet to?
Kimberly P. replied:
Pleasant Valley and It is true - Dr. Hamilton will take great care of your pets but he has little desire to chat with you. Green Mtn also really good.

I second Rodney Parham Animal Clinic. When we moved back 10 years ago they did not know me at all and took in my sick dog and tried to save it. They even took it home at night.
Shannan W. replied:
I second Green Mtn. Animal Clinic. Super good....super convenient....very reasonable!
Laura C. replied:
Green Mtn. Super cheap and friendly staff.
Andrea L. replied:
I've been to all of them I think. Ha! Treasure Hill is top notch terrific, but very expensive. Pleasant Valley is cheap, and Dr. Hamilton is all about your pet only...not you. Rodney Parham is reasonable, but has gone downhill. (Not going back.) Green Mountain was okay. PV is the best for your money.

Hillcrest vets are expensive and stinks of urine....I use Park Hill Vets....not exactly downtown but better than WLR...the staff are friendly, efficient. ..they accept walk it's and are very reasonable. They have taken care of my son's 3 dogs and my 4 cats.
Jennifer C. replied:
I have had some truly wonderful experiences at the Asher Animal Clinic, and it is closer than one might think. Dr. Tilley is amazing!
Monica D. replied:
I love Otter Creek Animal Clinic, but that's not really any closer.
Cheri N. replied:
There used to be a vet in the 900 block of Broadway, but he received an offer he couldn't refuse for his building -- which now unfortunately is vacant, I think. Over a period of 14 years, we took two dogs and a cat to Hillcrest Animal Hospital and always were happy with the care. Our vet, Sonya Lavergne, couldn't have been nicer. And the place does not "stink" of urine (as someone else alleged).
Becky T. replied:
Asher Animal Clinic. Been going there 30 years.
Ann B. replied:
We also use All Pets. Dr. Tim & Dr. Lauren have taken great care of our fur babies.
Grace (my dog I have had for 12 years) appears to have had a stroke over the weekend while I was down taking care of Dad. Does anyone here in Little Rock have a vet...

Cantrell animal clinic... Dr.Don Barnett he is amazing and worked with him for years.
Jill B. replied:
Dr. Tad Marvin at Bellevue Animal Clinic on Cantrell was Lucy's dog for the last 4 years of her life and was wonderful to her and us. We still use him and Millie enjoys him. Their own office is great and goes above-and-beyond what is expected. Of course, Tilley's brother, Dr. Bob?, is a vet. DW using him for Tango and he is wonderful as well. Prayers for Grace, you and Emma.
Shelia S. replied:
Vets and Pets in North Little Rock is who Shane uses. The Faulks are a Sweet couple.
Debbie W. replied:
Sorry for the delay in responding to your call for help, Rachel. It looks like you found a vet. I hope everything will be ok. For reference same, Asher Animal Clinic is where I take Tango. Dr. Bill Tilley.
Local peeps! I need a referral to a local vet and quick. Recommendations?

Steve don't take your dog to Smokey Lane after hours vet! Pinch your dog at the scruff and pull up, should bounce right back if not its dehydrated! Pedialite is helpful but not a cure. With any stomach problem remove food for 24 hrs then reintroduce mild food. But if you need a good after hours vets call Pallone Animal Hospital leave message and Mike will call you right back.

Erica A. replied:
Henry, Fromm is pretty uppity too and also from Hollywood Feed. I really like that place! I need a vet that will diagnose the condition and stop just treating the symptoms. I've also been to two different vets that vaccinate without getting permission first. Aside from being costly, most vaccinations are unnecessary.
Henry P. replied:
honestly, Erica, the best vet we ever saw was Dr. Stone at St. Francis in Conway. best vet ever
Can anyone recommend a place we can board Kiki, our dog, during Spring Break? Our vet has a cage available but no runs, and she really needs to be able to move.
