Dr. Needham must be a good doctor and I used to take my nephews there, however, expect an hour to two hours wait even with an appointment. Without appoint expect to be there all day. Just saying

Corridor in San Marcos or Kyle!!!! You can always get an appointment when needed, they have Sat clinic & after hour nurse line. The doctors are amazing too!!!!
Elise T. replied:
Dr Needham all the way. I have a child with special needs and he has handled everything from strep throat to getting her set up with services
Dora M. replied:
Yes, Dr. Needham is very good with children, but I've had to wait up to two hours! aside from the time Dr. Needham spent with the boys. And, Angie Matlock McCoy, you must be a very close friend with the office staff or Dr. Needham because I saw that doctor for well over a year and I hated to make appointments because of the long waits, and not to mention that he was always out of the office.
Dora M. replied:
Not me, Angie Matlock McCoy. My waitings were always very long up to two hours wait. I had a set of 2 year old twins that were seeing Dr. Needham and one hour wait is still to long for them.
Amber M. replied:

Does anyone know how I go about checking on the reputation of a doctor? I need a hand/orthopod (possibly surgeon)...I want the best I can get!
Barbara L. replied:
this is how I found my pain doc. http://www.vitals.com/
Sherran T. replied:
Sheely and Tibbett at seton in kyle
Donna A. replied:
I used to work in hand surgery, and I found the plastic/hand guys to be really good. Ortho hand surgeons are sub specialized in hands, Patel is good. I also heard really good things about Ira Lown in bee caves, who is a general surgeon with hand specialty and good availability. You can try hand occupational therapy with splinting before surgery, too. Lastly, ask the OR nurses; they know.

Anyone familiar with South Austin Foot Clinic and/or Dr. Dennis Berger? I've had it with my feet and would like to go to a local doctor. A Google search shows he used to...
Beth S. replied:
Dr. Terri Quibedeax has office hours in Lockhart. I really like her.
Janet C. replied:
I've been to her, but she only has a part time spot here. I need some minor foot surgery (in-office) so I likely need a doctor who is actually here. I will call Dr. Q again to see if they do surgeries here. But I thought I'd see if Dr. Berger is actually here all the time and what people thought of him.
Janet C. replied:
Sold! I'll go back to Dr. Q.
Ronda P. replied:
I worked for a podiatrist in Bastrop as his assistant for 4 years before I retired. He is one of the best surgeons I ever worked with. His name is Dr. James Handy. I would never ever any doctor but him touch my feet, much less do any kind of surgery on them. He also did reconstructive surgery on my husband's ankle after his motorcycle accident. He is a very thorough and an excellent diagnostician also.
Janet C. replied:
For those wondering, I received a call from a friend who had 2 foot surgeries -- both botched -- by Dr. Berger. I have no specific facts although she said she'd give me details when I had time. Disclaimer: I have no proof this is true. I do trust my friend, though.
I am looking for a recommendation of a good primary care doctor in the surrounding area. I became very unhappy with mine and I just wanted to see what other doctors...
