Attitude not altitude, remember being scared is an active choice, little people are often more able to look after themselve's and being being quicker and have better center of gravity, being 5 ft6 to 6 ft is optimal,. Krav mag is a hybrid and generally used by the military (Mossad/IDF/SAS) with the aim of killing or crippling the other person, be careful, people are fragile and a trip or fall or just 1 punch can kill. Also there is no spiritual style to this,. as it has only been around since the 40's, , the main focus is speed/power and aggression,. it doesn't take years to learn to defend yourself or disarm people it just takes practice and sparring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krav_Maga
wing chun is where it's at, no retreat, defend yourself in the space of a telephone box, great for boats, use your attackers force against themself,.. http://www.thewingchunschool.co.uk/

Yeah Krav Maga sounds pretty mean. one thing I've noticed though is if you can't practice the techniques at sparring force and in actual sparring then you'll never know you can pull it off when needed. Muay Thai is pretty straight forward in that respect they'll show you some moves and then you can pad up and get in there and have it.

This is also always an option - http://vimeo.com/70044805

Krav Magra is great if you want to literally rip someones ear off or gouge their eye out, but if you don't really want to attack like a brave staffie, then kung-fu is the way ahead and great for your stamina as thats what count's, but remember, if you can't take a beating, then don't dish it out and it's ALL about practice, do try to remember that that there body of water is a usefull defence as well, just 1 push,.. that's all it took.

Can anyone tell me the name of the garage in South Wales that does the gearbox filter and oil change at a reasonable price - many thanks

Just looking on the XKEC map of recommended service centres Gary, and there is Swffryd service station Swffryd Road Swffryd Crumlin Gwent and also Stratstone Jaguar in Cardiff and Swansea, although the latter are Jaguar dealers, so you may find them a bit pricey

Not a clue Barry - give them a call on 01792 589469 really helpful bloke

Four weeks after it passed an MOT with no advisories, Swffryd service station in Crumlin told me my XK8 had holes in the chassis legs requiring £500-£700 worth of welding including a subframe drop. Two other garages (including a Jag specialist in Pentwyn, Cardiff) have been unable to find this supposed rust.

I agree with Alan Olliffe's comments above. They had my XKR to check if the tensioners had been done when I first bought it. They had it for 6 weeks and "never had time" to look at it. I then went and collected it at took it to Kevin@Design XKR. Anyhow, I think that they have more than 2 disgruntled customers! http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/14223227.PICTURE_UPDATE__Police_appeal_for_information_after_deliberate_dealership_fire/?ref=mr&lp=12
