Anyone know of any doctors accepting patients. I looked on the website where they post them and they were not any GPS. Just specialists

Beware of AIM clinic staff at Central, and Dr. Ossai, they lost biopsy results (misplaced for over a week in a dead file), no apologies, and this doctor had no skill in informing me the bad news, that I had invasive cancer...just read it off the page (screen). Asked him a specific cancer question and he responded, oh, are you in the field?, what did I do for a living? No, will not be going back there again.

As a newcomer, do you have private health insurance until OHIP kicks in?
sawrzilla replied:
I would reach out to the [Victoria Hospital Birthing Centre](https://www.lhsc.on.ca/maternal-newborn-care/contact-information) first, I'm sure they can give you some direction on how to proceed. Given that you wife is 8 months pregnant, in the case of an emergency, I would go there first (**specifically B tower, 4th floor**) where they can assess you and you'll be treated by an obstetrician. You'll likely need weekly visits before she delivers otherwise (depending on her and the baby's condition).
With regards to lack of insurance, call them (see link above) and let them know of your situation. London has a large Mennonite population which usually foregoes insurance / OHIP, so I'm sure they have experience with someone in your situation.

Not that I've ever had a baby but pretty sure it's free. And Victoria hospital is the children's hospital so it's the main one you'd probably wanna go to

I moved to London when I was 8.5 months pregnant and didn’t have an OB. I used the self referral Ob clinic at Victoria hospital. You don’t get one dedicated doctor but everyone is amazing there.
Bubbydidit replied:
Midwives will often deliver babies/ offer maternal care for those without insurance. Don’t know if they would take someone so far along though. Thames Valley Midwives and Womancare are the ones in London.

I private messaged you!

Hi! We don’t have a dedicated maternity hospital. Here’s a link to the London Health Sciences (the term for the network of hospitals in London) maternal health programs: [LHSC Labour & Birth](https://www.lhsc.on.ca/maternal-newborn-care/labour-birth). It looks like the birthing centre is at Victoria Hospital, which is a nice facility. Give the Birthing Centre a call (the number is in the attached information).

My first pregnancy I had to call around a bunch to.actually find a doctor who would accept cash payment (no insurance). I ended up going to a hospital 2 hours away. The doctor, the hospital stay, and a C section birth with sedation if I remember clearly was between 5-6 k.(give or take). Now.that being said, this was 15 years ago and thing may have changed. I would start by calling around and asking, it will give u a idea of what you need
mediaphage replied:
you should check and see if your school can get you access to UHIP, which will cover you until your OHIP kicks in
Saiagram replied:
I think depend where do you want your wife delivery her baby. cost delivery baby in London more expensive than other city. cost delivery and room are different. yes if your wife don't have any complication about 3000 k per night.
