Ok to the people bashing the council and the mayor... They can not control what the landlords charge for rent... You are ignorant if you think they can. Quit bitching on Facebook talking shit about people. Get up and do something about it. Run for mayor or town council and you'll find out the business are not closing because of the town council. Darlene Steel is a great woman and doesn't deserve people who have no life bashing her on Facebook.

Scott Hunter, yes, he did try. Seems to me when people gave up on him as mayor, they also gave up on any progressive idea that had his name attached to it. Childish.

Also, Darlene Steel has been a neighbor for about 30 years. She went to College and got her degree and worked for Health Dept for many years and did Litter things throughout the County. She raised her daughter in this town and now her grandaughter is being raised by her Mom. I don't know Darlene well but she came up in this town the hard way so respect her for that.
